Quality and RoHS Policy
SNS Cooling Technology Inc. meets the expectations of the RoHS and WEEE directives, holding ourselves to a high standard of environmental conduct.
SNS Cooling only uses products and services that meet RoHS 3 requirements. The following materials are identified as restricted:
Lead
Mercury
Cadmium
Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI)
Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) *
Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) *
Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP)
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
For each of these materials, SNS Cooling abides by the maximum levels specified by RoHS 3:
- Lead (Pb): < 1000 ppm **
- Mercury (Hg): < 100 ppm
- Cadmium (Cd): < 100 ppm
- Hexavalent Chromium: (Cr VI) < 1000 ppm ***
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB): < 1000 ppm
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE): < 1000 ppm
- Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): < 1000 ppm
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): < 1000 ppm
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): < 1000 ppm
- Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): < 1000 ppm
* PBB and PBDE are flame retardants used in some plastics.
** Two exemptions apply as per RoHS: 1. as an alloying element (in steel up to 0.35% lead by weight, in aluminum up to 0.4% lead by weight, and in copper up to 4% lead by weight); 2. in high-melting-temperature type solders (i.e. lead based alloys containing 85% or more by weight) / in solders for servers, storage and storage array systems, network infrastructure equipment for switching, signaling, and transmission, as well as network management for telecommunications / in electronic ceramic parts
*** An exception applies as per RoHS: as an anti-corrosion of the carbon steel cooling system in absorption refrigerators
